Stiggy turned 5 a few days ago. I can’t believe my little boy is 5. He had a lovely day; we all did, actually. We let him open one of his presents in the morning. It was a big book about cars. He loved it, and he thought this was his only present and was happy with that. After getting ready, we took him bowling. And of course he beat us…even without the bumper rails I think he would have won. 🙂
We took him to a toy shop and let him push the little child-sized trolley (shopping cart) around the shop. I really try not to buy him twaddly toys, but I let him look at them all he wants in the shop.
After dinner, when Stiggy was upstairs, we sneaked his other present into the living room and set it on the table. When he came back into the room, he had a lovely surprise (and I had a camera waiting to film it). It was a Meccano set. We then had cake (chocolate with buttercream frosting to which I’d added mint essence; it was really nice.)
I thought I’d take a trip down memory lane…
The day after Stiggy was born.
A few months old.
Love the hair…this is not my house, btw.
Already wanting to be at the wheel…same house as before.
I have no idea who this woman is…
Always admiring the cars.
And always the comedian.
In Ohio this last summer
